Wow! like him or not, he got EVERYONE'S attention....
Whether you like him or not....whether you think it was a "work" or a "shoot", CM Punk certainly got everyone talking about the closing moments of WWE RAW last night and personally I don't see how that could possibly be a bad thing. Some people thought they were seeing a total shoot, which couldn't be the case or he wouldn't have stayed mic'd live on the air that long but I certainly believe he slipped a few past them they didn't see coming....You can't tell me they scripted some of those lines last night because we all know WWE's "creative"...is not that "creative"....so I think you seen something where Punk had a line he was allowed to take it to, and he slipped across it a couple of times. If you didn't see it, check it out here if it hasn't been pulled yet by youtube.
For more on this popular subject...check out Dustin Starr's 'Star Treatment' on the subject, as someone who has been on the inside of the WWE machine, perhaps he has a better perspective than most. Interesting read, click below..............
The Starr Treatment- CM Punk
So with the suspension announced last night, it will be interesting to see how they bring him back for the title match at the pay per view in Chicago, IL. Again, whether you like Punk or not, and whether you think it was a total shoot or you think your too "smart" to allow yourself to be entertained by something on a "rasslin show", you have to admit that for the first time in a LONG time, people were talking about WWE RAW....now if they could find a way to do that without such drastic measures on a weekly basis.

I said "Its a work" on Facebook, I enjoyed the angle. I did not say anyone should not have enjoyed the spot. Maybe it was not directed at me ,but seeing I did post that statement I thought I would chime in.
It wasn't directed at anyone in particular as their were no less than a dozen people that I read posted that, many of them however followed up with statements that made it sound as though all the people who were posting how great it was were "being worked" or "falling for it" as if their positive reaction made them a dumb "mark" of some sort...I think you posted something about them having a "hook in their mouth"...Everyone is entitled to their opinion if just seems no one is ever happy...they either bitch that none of it is any good and no one likes it, or if it is good and they do like it they are "getting worked"..I thought that was the whole point...
Gene, my comment after that quote was "I forgot to put an LOL at the end of it." That was immediately afterward. I think that kinda put that statement in context
Folks in the wrestling business will call fans MARKS (you know as well as I do it is not a glowing term). My statement was directed at those who condescend to fans yet believed this spot. Its about the double standard.
yeah,I see your point on that....BTW, I liked your interview with the fan.
It's all good, made for some good discussion. I hope you liked the image I loaded up the image of the famous men's urinal at the flea market show.LOL
